We read The Crying Mountian, a Mexican legend retold by Patricia Almada. Then, the students played with GoogleEarth. They looked at Mexico and all the volcanoes! Even Popo and Ixta!
We also explored other Hispanic countries. Then, we learned that many US states have a Hispanic influence. Can you guess these states?
- to blush , go bright red
- flowery, upper crust of society
- "good oaks", aritz onak
- mountain
Can you name these cities and state?
- named after Saint Anthony de Padua
- village
- Holy faith, to testify
